Case Picker

Part-Time - 24 hrs. per week only.

Saturday & Sunday - 5:30am-5:30pm

Starting Pay Rate - $23.30/hr

First Week Training Hours: Monday-Tuesday 8:00am-4:30pm.

General Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor. This position will be responsible for working in a variety of functions within distribution area, such as individual pallet construction, stacking/sorting/distributing product, hand palletizing, sorting and stacking product, and operating equipment.

Essential Functions:

Responsible at all times for promoting a safety culture and awareness within their area.  Support and adhere to all plant safety policies and procedures at all times. Single case pick utilizing voice-to-pick software system. Utilization of computerized WMS (warehouse management system) for all assigned work. Ensure accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments according to schedule in terms of correct SKU and quantity versus bills of lading. Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts, physical inventories, etc. for package materials and finished goods. Safe operation of all material handling equipment, including stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. Ensure that pallets are properly labeled per customer requirements. Verify lot codes of assigned product, including proper documentation and record keeping. Ensure that orders are selected and properly stacked to company standards. Participate on Continuous Improvement/Lean Manufacturing teams to identify and resolve areas of waste. Collaborate with employees and Supervisors to effectively resolve work-related issues. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong communications skills – ability to communicate clearly and concisely in multiple media – verbal, written, etc.  Must have ability to communicate clearly in English – verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational/time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments in a fast-paced work environment, calm under pressure and flexibility to adapt to changing schedules as appropriate.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One (1) year forklift experience that could likely provide the required knowledge and abilities needed to perform the job preferred.
  • Six (6) months forklift experience in a fast-paced distribution environment preferred. 
  • Previous experience with WMS preferred.
