Job Title: Inside Sales
Reports to: Sales Manager
Location: Burlington, ON Robertson (Hybrid)
Position Summary
The Inside Sales representative supports profitable growth and customer satisfaction by accurately processing customer orders, providing product availability and pricing information, and managing order execution through delivery. This role serves as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, builds strong customer relationships, supports segment managers, and promotes products and solutions aligned to customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
Order Management and ERP Execution
- Process customer orders accurately in the ERP system.
- Verify pricing, order minimums, and requested delivery dates prior to order release.
- Maintain accurate order records and ensure data integrity throughout the order-to-cash process.
Customer Support and Issue Resolution
- Provide timely information to customers regarding pricing, product availability, and lead times.
- Follow up on backorders and delivery status; investigate and resolve order issues to minimize service disruptions.
- Issue RMAs in accordance with company policy and customer requests.
- Respond to incoming calls, emails, and customer inquiries in an efficient and professional manner.
Customer Relationship Management and Sales Support
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through proactive communication and reliable follow-through.
- Promote products and solutions to customers and identify opportunities for additional support or growth.
- Provide administrative and coordination support to segment managers to enable effective account execution.
- Perform other duties as required to support the business.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education preferred; college coursework or degree considered an asset.
- 3–5 years of customer service/inside sales experience supporting industrial distributors or similar B2B environments.
- Strong attention to detail and high-volume, accurate data entry capability.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent in English (verbal and written); French is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
