We are currently hiring for a Supply Specialist to join BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina. In this role as Supply Specialist, you will receive and deliver company supplies throughout corporate buildings. Support all areas with stored supplies in warehouse and pick up and deliver interoffice mail, FedEx, and United Parcel Service of America (UPS) packages.

Logistics

This position is full time (40 hours/week) Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30 at Alpine Road.

What You Will Do:

  • Receives and prepares incoming accountable mail for internal distribution.
  • Processes outgoing priority mail for overnight and or second day delivery.
  • Reconciles and processes express mail invoices for payment.
  • Understands and executes delivery schedule.
  • Provides prompt, courteous delivery to customer.
  • Obtains signatures for goods delivered.
  • Processes requests for record service.
  • Processes orders.
  • Receives shipping orders.
  • Pulls inventory.
  • Prepares packages for delivery.
  • Receives deliveries.
  • Verifies accuracy.
  • Prepares inventory receiving reports.
  • Barcode receipts into and out of the inventory system.
  • Places inventory in assigned warehouse location.

To Qualify for This Position, You Will Need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year work experience in a team environment.
  • Must have a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record. No major traffic violations in the past three years or no more than one minor moving traffic violation. At least three years of documented driving experience.
  • Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
  • Good judgment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to move up to 70 pounds.
  • Standard office equipment.
  • Required Licenses and Certificates: Must have a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record. No major traffic violations in the past three years or no more than one minor moving traffic violation. At least three years of documented driving experience.

What We Prefer:

  • 1 year-warehouse experience.
    Working knowledge of warehouse equipment to include forklift and pallet jack.
  • Knowledge of BCBSSC corporate and its subsidiaries.
  • Inventory experience
  • Excel experience
