Oslo, Norway (Hybrid)The System Operations Specialist covers all or some of the activities involved in a system operation. He/she monitors and analyses the current system to check its effectiveness and works out an improving strategy when needed.
Role and Responsibility
Manages day-to-day activities: services provided to internal or external customers, support to the system, and support to IS-IT
Performs operations, anticipates operational problems and contributes to improve the system operation:
- Guarantees the smooth running of IS-IT and systems observes and studies system functioning, analyses statistics, monitors performance, defines reports,
- Offers appropriate support and advice to the users,
- Communicates pro-actively with customers as primary interface, and
- Liaises with SDM in order to consider customer complaints and suggestions or any potential problems that the SDM raises
Continually improves the system, continually improves the IS-IT, prevents customer issues, and manages corrective actions:
- Collects and reports on customer technical issues analyses problems, collects all relevant information and provides answers to customer queries;
- Develops and implements resolution plans, takes appropriate decisions support, proposes optimization of the system configuration and ensures the necessary actions are carried out plans and controls change, and
- Manages crisis situation
Optimizes support:
- Liaises with SDM in order to consider customer dissatisfaction factors and the proposed improvement solutions,
- Defines and/or completes troubleshooting procedures,
- Mentors and trains support staff,
- Keeps up to date with the latest technologies
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, complies with legal regulation
