Qualifications: (These qualifications represent the minimum requirements of the position.  Employees will be required to possess the ability and aptitudes to perform the duties proficiently.)

    Education and/or Experience: 

• High School diploma/GED AND 5 years of robotic welding experience

OR

Associates Degree and 1-2 years robotic welding experience

OR

Bachelor’s Degree in related field

• Must have technical experience (mechanical or electrical).
• Must have experience with Arc Welding and Resistance Welding application.
• Must attend Fanuc, AWS CWI Inspection and Ultra Sonic NTD courses, receive and maintain certification.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must attain and maintain AWS Welding Inspector Certification.
• Able to demonstrate understanding of how job performance affects product quality and customer satisfaction.
• Able to work well with others; build and maintain positive employee relations.
• Able to prepare, read and interpret written reports, instructions, procedures and guidelines.
• Able to work well with power cutting tools, torches, air chisels, and Ultra Sonic weld inspection equipment.
• Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees, suppliers and customers.
• Able to maintain confidentiality, use discretion and tact.
• Able to manage and schedule multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimum direct supervision.
• Able to work flexible hours and overtime.
• Able to calculate figures and amounts, such as percentages and proportions.
• Able to effectively use computer and software as required.

Environmental Conditions:

Combination, some office work but mainly manufacturing plant characterized by temperature extremes, loud noise, chemicals, considerable tow motor traffic and pressure caused by deadlines and interruptions.
