Job Description
Responsibilities: Total ownership of the SPW effort in the New Jersey Business Unit (get work, do work, take care of people)
Specific responsibilities may include the following (note that items with * may be delegated within the local SPW team).
Get Work
- Attend and participate in the various get work meetings, to include the weekly Richmond BD Meeting and SPW Get Work Meeting
- Integrate with OES and maximize material and equipment sales through them
- Understand our business model and how SPW fits into the bigger picture
- Update Pipeline with SPW Sub-Opportunities and maintain the associated resource tracker*
- Work with Get Work teams to develop the SPW strategy for opportunities; support PXs and BD leads to develop SPW strategies early on during the pursuit stage; develop strong customer relationships with these leads as we do with our external clients.
- Provide budget pricing based on conceptual/DD-level documents as requested from precon teams*
- Maintain SPW bid calendar*
- Submit proposals for project specific ITBs using best practice tools (take-off, vendor quotes, furnish and install estimate, GM calculator, peer review)*
- Integrate concrete, Div 10 and other scope groups into the Richmond plan
- Lead SPW business planning efforts across the New Jersey Business Unit
Do Work
- Take an active role in creating a strong IFE culture. Ensure teams plan their work and have the tools, equipment and training to ensure a safe work environment – safety first in everything we do. Be the leader in incident response and follow through on RCAs.
- Have a full command of our SPW Best Practices and be able to teach them to others
- Create a monthly BU-level reporting tool for all SPW projects and submit to/review with to BUL monthly
- Develop scope-specific schedules integrated with the main project schedule*
- Develop and maintain a resource tracking log*
- Ensure project numbers and subjobs are set-up for each awarded opportunity
- Ensure handover and kick-off meetings happen for each project
- Review SPW Job Orders prior to issuance and signature*
- Input budgets into CMiC*
- Manage projects, visit sites, ensure teams are planning and tracking productivity, submit MSRs, maintain MEO spend logs, organize and lead weekly production meetings with the entire DPR team for each project. Identify a champion on each project that is prepared to report simple metrics on a weekly basis to the project team and the business unit. Build a plan for those metrics with the internal stakeholders.
- Issue POs/LFPOs to vendors*
- Create, price, process PCIs s RFIs/ASIs/Addendums*
- Review, compile and submit project submittals*
- Update manual forecasts monthly for all projects within the SPW Finance Dashboard
- Utilize TCRs, MEO and Labor reports as necessary for MSRs*
- Utilize VDC resources (to include vConstruct) to coordinate work and develop spool sheets/lift drawings*
- Be able to use Textura to create monthly pay apps for all ongoing subjobs*
- Maintain the SPW PowerBi Dashboards for Richmond
- Coordinate material release and procurement tracking as approved submittals are returned*
- Be able to manage a submittal log with multiple projects at varying stages of work*
- Be able to participate in LEED submittals/paperwork, filling out templates as necessary*
- Compile closeout documentation as required by the contract*
- Develop a project closeout process that includes a full debrief and lessons learned session with the -00 team
- Ultimately accountable for the use and management of the warehouse (POC with the landlord), delegate prefab projects to warehouse manager.

- Develop and maintain a craft resource allocation process to include GC support*
- Define the required organizational framework and roles and develop responsibilities for each (include timing, cost structure, shared resources)
- Understand and support the craft advocate role
- Take care of our craft employees – they are our equals and we cannot do what we do without them
- Support Peer Group Meetings and trainings
- Attend Quarterly Meetings and other BU and regional gatherings
- Hire and develop micro-local teams to execute projects in the Charlottesville and Tidewater areas
- Develop a reliable pipeline of craft talent, recruiting and onboarding process, and next steps for everyone in the SPW team to create opportunities at all levels.
- HR type issues – escalation point for issues as they arise with both craft and admin.
- Admin staffing – who goes where.

Anticipated starting pay range:
$160,000.00- $220,000.00
