The Finance MBA Associate Development Program has been in place for over 30 years, recruiting top MBA candidates for dynamic careers in Finance.  As part of the program, a Finance Associate will have the opportunity to build a breadth of finance experience across the company by completing 4 six-month rotations.

Finance Associates are part of a dynamic learning environment that provides high visibility to senior management and enables Finance Associates to organically build both mentoring relationships with managers and peers and a strong alumni network within the company. This internship will provide a representative experience of that rotational program and serves as a direct feeder into the full-time program. After completing the two-year rotational program, Finance Associates will transition to full-time non-rotational positions within BMS Finance, well-positioned to progress a career in finance at BMS.

  • Full-time rotational assignments are available in various areas including Commercial, R&D, Manufacturing, Treasury, and Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis. Opportunities are also available for overseas assignments, including recent rotations in Europe and Asia.
  • Internships will be condensed versions of full-time rotations, designed to fit the summer timeframe.
  • Assignments include but are not limited to: development of operating budgets, R&D portfolio allocation, financial forecasting for compounds in development, financial analysis of operating performance and return on capital expenditures.
  • Associates also have the opportunity to work on a specific brand where they team up with marketing to manage the brand P&L and develop strategic initiatives for growing the business.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Candidates should expect to receive a Masters in Business Administration degree during the following school year, scheduled to graduate by the Spring of 2026.
  • The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years’ work experience and strong intellectual, financial and analytical skills with demonstrated ability for quickly grasping new and complex concepts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence others and work effectively in a matrix organization, are essential.
  • Leadership potential is highly valued, and a commitment to integrity, professionalism and teamwork is required.
  • Successful candidates will also demonstrate superior financial modeling skills, specifically in Excel, and the ability to quickly learn financial/accounting software.

If you come across a role that intrigues you but doesn’t perfectly line up with your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway. You could be one step away from work that will transform your life and career.

On-site Protocol

BMS has a diverse occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This structure includes site-essential, site-by-design, field-based and remote-by-design jobs. The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role:

Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility. For these roles, onsite presence is considered an essential job function and is critical to collaboration, innovation, productivity, and a positive Company culture. For field-based and remote-by-design roles the ability to physically travel to visit customers, patients or business partners and to attend meetings on behalf of BMS as directed is an essential job function.

BMS is dedicated to ensuring that people with disabilities can excel through a transparent recruitment process, reasonable workplace accommodations/adjustments and ongoing support in their roles. Applicants can request a reasonable workplace accommodation/adjustment prior to accepting a job offer. If you require reasonable accommodations/adjustments in completing this application, or in any part of the recruitment process, direct your inquiries to [email protected].
