Introduction to the Job

As a Senior project manager within the Planning & Delivery (P&D) department, you lead multi‑stream projects that span several business areas and technical domains. Your supply chain background and experience in project management enables you to act as expert in managing our capability step-up projects in different environments and businesses.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Senior project manager, you own delivery across scope, schedule, budget, and benefits. You coordinate experts, manage interdependencies, and keep stakeholders aligned at tactical and strategic levels.

You will:

  • Oversee the production of and approves project plans, ensuring that all activities are identified, appropriately organized to deliver the project objectives, comply with the organization's (non-PGP Key Deliverables) project management framework, and comply with the organization's wider governance structure and processes

  • Lead (large) project team(s); define the project vision and communicates the outcomes needed along with guidance to achieve outcome, manages resources across various underlying workstreams; negotiates flow of additional team members on and off the team as needed; and builds the capability of the team through training, coaching and mentoring

  • Negotiate and manage deployment of project resource budgets, providing forecasts and presenting variances with narrative at appropriate review points to ensure effective utilization

  • Ensure that roles and responsibilities are clearly defined within the project delivery and project management office teams, and ensures project compliance with ASML's wider program and/or portfolio management decision-making structures and processes

  • Manage a complex organizational environment with tactical stakeholders, needs to acquire management buy-in (at least JG 13/14 level)

  • Develop and implement stakeholder engagement plans for projects to identify relevant stakeholders, to develop positive stakeholder relationships, and to ensure that each stakeholder has an appropriate share of voice

  • Manage identification of risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints associated with the project, escalating these where appropriate. Ensures adequate risk assessment of (high) cross-sector risks within the full scope of the roadmap and is able to interpret the results of the risk assessment. Where risks or issues threaten delivery of the project, develops and agrees recovery plans or, if relevant, together with sponsor/project board agrees to pause or cancel the project

  • Specify and lead the delivery of the project review process to ensure that stakeholders are able to evaluate progress and agree on change at appropriate points

  • Develop and manage the delivery of a plan to evaluate and track business benefits and to identify actions needed to maximize these

  • Ensure continuous and open lines of communication and feedback. Gives feedback to team members and peers on their behavior as team member and helps them to improve

  • Leads, engages and motivates PL's and project team member

Education and Experience

  • A master’s degree in supply chain/logistics, business administration, or a related field

  • 10+ years of project management experience in technical, international environments

  • Proven track record leading complex, multi‑stream projects across business areas

  • Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus

Other Information

You will be part of the P&D Program Management team within the P&D Strategy & Improvement department. The role is office‑based in Veldhoven with limited travel. No shift work is expected. ASML supports your development with extensive learning options and international mobility opportunities.
