We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director for our Clinical Resource Team. The Director, Clinical Resource Team will oversee a team of clinicians located across the United States who support key product categories for McKesson Brands in a customer-facing, clinical capacity. The Director will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing essential clinical education and support programs aimed at improving health outcomes and driving private-label penetration and growth within all McKesson Medical-Surgical (MMS) markets, including Primary Care, Extended Care, and Enterprise Sales markets.

* Candidate must reside in the Richmond, VA area. Position allows for primarily working from home, with occasional in-office time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily activities of Clinical Resource Team members
  • Develop protocols for clinical education support for the Clinical Resource Team to efficiently interact with the McKesson Medical-Surgical (MMS) Sales Teams, Sales Support Groups (SAR’s, FAR’s, etc.) and customers
  • Create and/or identify clinical support and educational programs for customers by interacting with customers, field sales, vendors and supplier management
  • Collaborate with the McKesson Brands Product Development team, offering professional clinical knowledge to inform product design, ensuring that new products meet medical standards and address the needs of healthcare providers and patients effectively
  • Participate in communication of team capabilities and clinical strategy to MMS Sales Leadership, Field Sales, and associated support departments
  • Travel may include but not limited to National and Regional Trade Shows, Customer Meetings, and select Team Meetings

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred), or equivalent experience
  • 12+ years of relevant professional experience, including a minimum of 6 years of experience in a clinical role, with 3 years in training, managing and developing a team of individual contributors
  • Strong knowledge of clinical practices and healthcare industry trends
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to develop and implement clinical education programs
  • Experience working collaboratively with sales, product development, and marketing teams
  • Ability to travel nationally as required (estimated 20%)

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$128,300 - $213,800
