As the Global Head of Retail Media, you will lead the development and execution of our end-to-end retail media strategy across global markets, elevating how our brands show up on the digital shelf. This role is central to driving measurable business growth (revenue & market share), improving media effectiveness, and building world-class capabilities that scale globally while enabling local market success.
You’ll lead a substantial, enterprise-wide retail media investment, collaborating across Media, Marketing, Sales, Data & Analytics, and Technology to unlock the full value of our investments on retailer platforms. You’ll also be responsible for establishing standards, building internal capabilities, optimizing investments, and driving innovation in how we engage consumers on retailer platforms.
What you need to know about this position:
Strategy & Execution
Develop and execute a global retail media strategy aligned to our enterprise goals and top customer priorities
Define and embed a standardized operating model for retail media across markets and brands, including budget allocation, targeting, measurement, and reporting
Partner with BU Sales and Global Customer Teams to integrate retail media into joint business planning and customer engagement strategies
Capability Building & Best Practices
Build, lead, and scale a global Retail Media Center of Excellence, fostering expertise and deploying best-in-class tools, frameworks, and playbooks
Define capability standards for media planning, digital shelf optimization, data collaboration, and performance measurement
Identify learning needs and deliver upskilling programs for global and local teams in areas like media execution, attribution, and platform optimization
Measurement & Governance
Establish global KPIs, measurement frameworks, and dashboards to evaluate the sufficiency, ROI and business impact of retail media investments
Lead governance forums to ensure budget discipline, alignment on strategic priorities, and consistent execution across BUs and brands
Collaborate with Finance and Strategy teams to incorporate retail media into P&L and business planning cycles
Innovation & Partnerships
Partner with the Digital Commerce, Consumer Experience & Technology teams to build scalable tech and data infrastructure, including clean rooms, identity graphs, and media activation platforms
Identify and pilot emerging opportunities across programmatic retail media, shoppable media, retail media networks, and full-funnel integration
Cultivate strategic partnerships with agencies and tech enablers to co-develop capabilities and drive innovation
What extra ingredients you will bring:
Strong understanding of the retail media ecosystem, including on-site, off-site, and in-store solutions and retailer monetization models
Demonstrated ability to translate commercial objectives into media strategy and drive measurable business outcomes
Deep knowledge of media buying platforms, attribution models, digital shelf analytics, and customer data strategy
Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Strong analytical skills with fluency in media metrics, incrementality testing, and ROI measurement
Experience working with global CPG brands and/or retailers across diverse markets is strongly preferred
