Job Description:

Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will be part of the Supply Chain Planning Team. As a Senior Supply Chain Planner you will assist and sometimes lead in the planning functions at the Neckarbischofsheim site in Germany.  You will take responsibility for production and material planning of multiple product lines. You will participate for the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning Process (SIOP), interfacing with BU Marketing and Sales in order to create and maintain sales forecasts, ensuring alignment with BU and corporate targets. You will serve as an advocate for total customer satisfaction by focusing on the customer’s date requirement and communicating that requirement to the operations team. You will assist in the development and execution of the Supply Chain Planning processes Neckarbischofsheim and more widely in the Systems Operations Group.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review MRP output to ensure appropriate responses to demand.
• Work with Manufacturing, Engineering and Purchasing to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled on time.
• Support creation of production orders  for manufacturing and sales order scheduling.
• Cross-train with existing members of staff to help cover sickness/vacation periods.
• Assist and support all members of the planning team in Neckarbischofsheim
• Assist in the development of junior staff
• Produce and analyse data relating to demand, on time delivery and inventory.
• Assist with preparation of executive reporting.
• Participate in SIOP process
• Maintain Customer demand profiles in Smoothie forecasting tool and Microsoft AX
• Gather information relating to the forecast from various sources including meetings with BU representatives and customers.
• Set inventory levels in alignment with above.
• Provide clear build requirements/forecast to internal and external manufacturing partners. Monitor delivery and lead improvement activities.
• Work with Inventory management to ensure inventory targets are met.
• Partner with procurement team in identification and prioritization of critical supply components..
• Partake in customer meetings when required, particularly in critical supply and new product ramp situations.
• Coordinate with New Product teams to help achieve best possible time to market.
• Manage with team, new product ramps ensuring availability of appropriate capacity and resources
• Participate and possibly lead  continuous improvement activities within the supply chain.

Hauptaufgaben und Verantwortlichkeiten:

• Überprüfung der MRP-Ergebnisse, um eine angemessene Reaktion auf die Nachfrage sicherzustellen
• Zusammenarbeit mit Fertigung, Engineering und Einkauf, um die termingerechte Erfüllung von Kundenaufträgen zu gewährleisten
• Unterstützung bei der Erstellung von Fertigungsaufträgen sowie bei der Terminplanung von Kundenaufträgen
• Einarbeitung in verschiedene Aufgabenbereiche (Cross-Training), um Vertretungen bei Krankheit oder Urlaub sicherzustellen
• Unterstützung aller Mitglieder des Planungsteams in Neckarbischofsheim.
• Mitwirkung bei der Entwicklung von Nachwuchskräften
• Erstellung und Analyse von Daten zu Nachfrage, Liefertreue und Beständen
• Unterstützung bei der Erstellung von Berichten für das Management
• Teilnahme am SIOP-Prozess
• Pflege der Kundennachfrageprofile im Prognosetool Smoothie sowie in Microsoft AX.
• Sammlung von Prognoseinformationen aus verschiedenen Quellen, einschließlich Meetings mit Business Units und Kunden
• Festlegung von Bestandsniveaus im Einklang mit den Prognosen
• Bereitstellung klarer Produktionsanforderungen/Prognosen an interne und externe Fertigungspartner sowie Überwachung der Lieferleistung und Einleitung von Verbesserungsmaßnahmen
• Zusammenarbeit mit dem Bestandsmanagement zur Einhaltung der Bestandsziele.
• Kooperation mit dem Einkaufsteam zur Identifizierung und Priorisierung kritischer Komponenten
• Teilnahme an Kundengesprächen bei Bedarf, insbesondere bei kritischen Lieferengpässen und Produkteinführungen
• Abstimmung mit Produktentwicklungsteams, um eine möglichst schnelle Markteinführung zu erreichen
• Steuerung von Produkteinführungen im Team und Sicherstellung ausreichender Kapazitäten und Ressourcen
• Mitwirkung an kontinuierlichen Verbesserungsinitiativen innerhalb der Supply Chain, ggf. auch in leitender Funktion

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Minimum of six years in supply chain & Inventory management in a medium/large manufacturing/logistics environment ideally with multi-level BOM structure
• Qualification to Diploma/Degree level and relevant training in master planning, MRP or APICS certification or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of import & export requirements.
• Experience of MRP within a multi-level BOM structure ideally within a manufacturing organization.
• Excellent analytically, with previous experience of interfacing and reporting at senior management level
• Computer literacy essential especially Microsoft Excel
• Self starter with a track record of delivering results
• Knowledge of Axapta/ Microsoft Dynamics Business software or similar ERP (SAP, Oracle etc)
• Knowledge of Lean Supply Chain Principles ideally with demonstrable results in Lean programmes.

Qualifikationen:

• Mindestens sechs Jahre Erfahrung in Supply Chain und Bestandsmanagement in einem mittelgroßen oder großen Produktions- bzw. Logistikumfeld, idealerweise mit mehrstufigen Stücklisten (BOM)
