Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Architect with deep expertise in IBM Spectrum LSF (Load Sharing Facility) to design, implement, and optimize high-performance computing (HPC) environments. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in shaping our compute infrastructure strategy, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance for complex workloads across diverse environments.

Your Job

• Design and architect scalable HPC solutions using IBM Spectrum LSF.
• Lead the implementation and configuration of LSF clusters, including job scheduling, resource management, and workload optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Data Science, Engineering) to align infrastructure with business and technical requirements.
• Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline cluster management and job orchestration.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and fault tolerance.
• Evaluate and integrate complementary technologies (e.g., IBM Spectrum Scale, cloud-based HPC, container orchestration).
• Document architecture designs, operational procedures, and best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and administrators.
• Lead the Technical design process for features and platforms that require architecture changes during the delivery lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10- 12 years of experience in IT architecture or systems engineering roles.
• Knowledge in containerization and virtualization of apps/services, Security(  identity and access management, encryption, and compliance standards ) in AWS.
• Experience in writing technical documentation for systems design/architecture specifications.
• Understanding cloud deployment models (public, private, hybrid), cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), and the benefits of cloud computing. 
• Knowledge of DevOps principles and tools for automation and deployment. 
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Spectrum LSF in production environments.
• Strong understanding of HPC concepts, job scheduling, and workload management.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix systems administration and shell scripting.
• Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Python).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid HPC deployments.
• Be able to collaborate with program and technical design leads on multiple concurrent projects. 
• Should have excellent problem-solving skills, written & oral communication, teaming & interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in IT architecture or systems engineering roles.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Spectrum LSF in production environments.
• Strong understanding of HPC concepts, job scheduling, and workload management.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix systems administration and shell scripting.
• Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Python).
• Knowledge/working with Semi-conductor domain Fabless (or Foundry) is an added plus.
