The role

We are hiring an experienced and motivated Infrastructure Engineer to join our expanding Colo Infrastructure team within Edge Trading Technology.

The Edge Trading Technology Group is responsible for providing and evolving our low-latency platform. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will  design, deploy and manage high-performance infrastructure across multiple global locations. You will work alongside a skilled team to ensure seamless project delivery and optimal infrastructure performance.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Managing multiple parallel infrastructure projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery
  • Leading the hardware deployment lifecycle from requirements gathering and procurement through to upgrades, break/fix and decommissioning
  • Coordinating logistics across multiple locations, including procurement, shipping, migration, inventory management, cabling and parts management
  • Performing hands-on installation and basic configuration of servers and switches, or coordinating remotely with third-party providers
  • Collaborating with commercial and legal teams on hardware procurement and contract negotiations
  • Owning and developing relationships with hardware vendors, hosting providers and logistics partners
  • Working closely with internal teams on hardware specifications and requirements

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience deploying and troubleshooting network and server equipment from a variety of manufacturers
  • Strong knowledge of fibre and copper cabling fundamentals
  • Expertise in capacity planning, including power balancing
  • Experience liaising with third-party data centres, colocation, and service providers
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and coordinate logistics in a global environment
