Role Description
Are you ready to have a really rewarding summer? The summertime is the busiest time of year for State and Local Income Tax at Comcast. We file close to 1,200 state returns on top of other responsibilities throughout the summer. Not only will our summer interns learn about state and local income tax but we take pride in the technology that we introduce to each of our candidates.
Who will the intern work with?
Summer interns work with everyone on our team, including our SVP. Initial training takes place with our first- and second-year tax analysts and 3-5 year senior tax analysts. Our group also consists of mangers, senior managers, and directors. Our team is lead by our two senior directors – Laura Dewees and Kristin Norman – who report to our SVP Tom Donnelly.
What are some interesting problems the intern will work on?
Summer interns will be exposed to mostly working on state and local income tax filings that are due in September and October. This would consist of being assigned a company and preparing all of the state and local income tax filings for that company. Once the returns are reviewed and signed by our SVP, the summer intern would be responsible for e-filing the state returns.
