We are currently looking for a Manager, Manufacturing Security & Fire Prevention to join our team in Canton, MS.

The successful candidate will lead the physical security, fire, emergency response, and security compliance functions for Nissan’s Mississippi manufacturing and integrated logistics center locations. This role is responsible for overseeing a 24/7 team of physical security contractors, maintaining security and fire brigade response readiness, and representing Nissan Corporate Security across all business functions at Nissan’s Canton manufacturing complex.

A Day in the Life:   

  • Manage Canton’s manufacturing security programs using personal knowledge and staff resources to ensure profitability, protection of company assets, and the safety of employees and Nissan’s reputation. Ensure standardization of all physical security systems and equipment.
  • Oversee contract security officers at both locations through daily interaction with on-site Program Managers and the security provider’s National Account Director.
  • Work with Compliance, Audit, Customs and Trade, and Sompo counterparts to ensure Corporate Security functions are aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement security procedures and emergency response programs to assure the safety of all personnel, facilities, materials, equipment, and documentation.

Who We’re Looking for:

Required:

  • 7+ years minimum combined experience in security, law enforcement, or investigations.
  • 5+ years of related experience at a management/professional level supervising work groups greater than 30 personnel
  • Subject matter expert with physical security systems and applications to include Video Management Systems (Avigilon, Lenel, etc.), access control systems (Lenel, CCURE, etc.), case management systems (Ontic, Resolver, etc.), Critical Event Intelligence platforms (Core/Hyperion, Crisis24, AlertMedia, etc.), Emergency Mass Notification tools (Everbridge, AlertMedia, Send Word Now, etc.)

Desired:

  • PSP (Physical Security Professional) or CSP (Certified Security Professional) Certification.
