Boeing Global Services (BGS) Consumables & Expendables (C&E) Distribution Business is looking for a Supply Chain Specialist - Asset Management (f/m/d) to join our team in Norderstedt, GER.

The Supply Chain Specialist - Asset Management (f/m/d) will be involved in a multitude of supply chain related activities to include: customer demand review, forecasting assessment, ordering of materials, managing material budget, reporting on supply activity, strategy development for support of contract requirements, enhancing processes and procedures, and working across a multi-functional services team.  They will also need to have working knowledge, experience, and understanding of end-to-end supply chain activities.

This position requires a high level of personal accountability and responsibility.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide status reports, briefs, and metrics relating to performance and mission readiness.

  • Work closely together with procurement, judge buying signals and make quick decisions to efficiently drive our purchasing activities.

  • Review bottlenecks across the business in order to adjust forecasting and supply planning.

  • Coordinate to ensure current supply status and contract commitments meet program schedules and plans.

  • Identify and resolve customer supply chain management issues and discrepancies.

  • Demonstrate leadership through coordination of efforts between Supply Chain, Program, Warehouse, Finance, and Contracts.

  • Analyze postproduction supply chain data to define reorder points and quantities and coordinates for economy of purchases.

  • Assist in the collection and processing of supplier and/or customer data regarding products or services to include supply capabilities, capacity and performance.

  • Ensure budget / EAC accountability for plan and open orders.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in asset management, purchasing, supply chain, or supplier management.

  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and data analysis tools such as JDA/SPM and Oracle BI to aggregate and summarise large volumes of historical data and identify trends or issues.

  • Proficiency in SQL, querying databases to support data analysis and reporting.

  • Experience with ERP system functionality with an emphasis on SAP.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products, particularly Excel.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business administration, Supply Chain, or a related field. 

  • Experience working in the aerospace or defense industry with knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.

  • Excellent communication skills allowing for cross functional interaction with the Customer, Program, Supply Chain, Contracts, Finance, and Quality.

  • We prefer strong organizational and presentation skills.

  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and priorities & a highly detail-oriented mindset.
