Position Summary:
The ServiceNow Data Architect is responsible for the overall design, implementation, and management of data architecture within the ServiceNow platform. This role involves defining data standards, ensuring data integrity and consistency, and optimizing the data structures and processes to support various business and IT objectives. The ServiceNow Data Architect works closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable and efficient data solutions, enabling effective use of ServiceNow’s capabilities across the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing ServiceNow solutions to meet the needs of our organization and clients. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements, architect data solutions, and drive successful implementation and adoption of ServiceNow platform capabilities.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Data Architecture Design: Develop and maintain the data architecture for the ServiceNow platform, including defining data models, schemas, and relationships to support business and IT requirements.
- Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies and standards to ensure data accuracy, consistency, security, and compliance within the ServiceNow platform.
- Integration Strategy: Design and implement data integration strategies to seamlessly connect ServiceNow with other enterprise systems and data sources, ensuring efficient data flow and interoperability.
- Data Quality Management: Implement processes and tools to monitor and improve data quality within ServiceNow, addressing data anomalies, inconsistencies, and integrity issues.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical solutions within the ServiceNow environment.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize the performance of data-related processes and queries within ServiceNow, ensuring efficient data retrieval and processing for reporting and analytics.
- Documentation and Standards: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture, standards, and procedures to guide development teams and ensure consistency in data management practices.
- Data Security: Define and implement data security measures within ServiceNow to protect sensitive data and comply with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and ServiceNow updates related to data architecture, and recommend enhancements to improve data capabilities and efficiencies.
- Training and Mentoring: Provide guidance and training to development teams and stakeholders on data architecture principles, best practices, and ServiceNow data management capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ServiceNow solutions with other enterprise systems and applications.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and ServiceNow platform updates, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance organizational capabilities.
- Perform solutions review coming from the demand process
- Review development solutions provided by the engineering and product development teams
- Engage with the Operations team when required to support operational issues
- Develop, implement, and maintain platform development, integration, etc., standards
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of experience architecting and implementing ServiceNow solutions, with a deep understanding of the platform's capabilities and best practices.
- 8+ years of experience in ServiceNow development, including hands-on experience with ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript), ServiceNow APIs, UI policies, business rules, workflows, and integrations.
Preferred Skills:
- ServiceNow Certifications: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – preferred in relevant modules like CMDB or ITSM.
- Advanced Data Management: Experience with advanced data management practices, including master data management, metadata management, and data lifecycle management.
- Experience with Data Integration Tools: Familiarity with data integration and ETL tools, such as MuleSoft, Informatica, or Boomi.
- Knowledge of ITIL: Understanding of the ITIL framework and its application in IT service management, particularly in data and configuration management.
- Advanced Degrees and Certifications: Data Architecture, Information Systems, or related fields, and certifications in data architecture or data management (e.g., TOGAF, DAMA-DMBOK).
- Experience with ServiceNow platform upgrades and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture principles and frameworks.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Familiarity with related technologies such as LDAP, SSO, REST, SOAP, and JSON.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience leading technical teams and guiding projects from inception to completion.
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and IT service management principles.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Education-
Bachelor degree from accredited university or equivalent work experience(HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$144,200.00 - $288,400.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
