The Director, Admissions Strategy and Operations under direction, will play a pivotal role in managing the Admissions Office’s CRM, Technolutions Slate. This position is responsible for fostering a culture of data-informed decision-making, developing statistical reports throughout the admissions funnel, and assisting with strategic initiatives to achieve enrollment goals. Additionally, the Director will supervise the admissions operations staff, ensuring data integrity and effective processing of inquiry and application materials for both undergraduate and graduate levels. The role will also oversee the admissions decision process for all academic programs, ensuring absolute compliance with institutional and regulatory admissions requirements.
Administrative Support and Operational Leadership
Provides leadership, supervision, and strategic direction for the Admissions Operations team, including full-time staff and student employees.
Coordinates staff processes associated with recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, leave administration, and annual evaluations.
Coaches, mentors, and develops staff to ensure professional growth and operational excellence.
Oversees daily admissions operations, including application processing, document management, data entry, file completion, and preparation of applicant records for admission review.
Maintains knowledge of university systems and technologies, including Technolutions Slate, Banner SIS, Argos, and other related platforms.
Compliance and Policy Implementation
Oversees the admissions decision process for all academic programs to ensure compliance with institutional policies, state regulations, accreditation standards, and applicable federal guidelines.
Ensures data integrity and accuracy within admissions systems through established quality assurance and auditing procedures.
Assists with error management within the CRM by reviewing exception reports, resolving data discrepancies, consolidating duplicate records, and coordinating corrective actions.
Collaborates with Enrollment Management leadership to develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices related to admissions operations.
Special Projects, Data Analytics, and Reporting
Co-leads the management, enhancement, and strategic utilization of the Technolutions Slate CRM, including implementation, maintenance, testing, and user training.
Operationalizes data-informed enrollment strategies through the effective use of CRM technology and analytics.
Conducts statistical analyses and prepares reports related to inquiries, applications, admissions decisions, enrollment trends, and funnel performance.
Prepares and disseminates regular reports on operational effectiveness, application processing timelines, and admissions outcomes.
Partners with the Director of Enrollment Systems/Slate and other stakeholders to identify, develop, and implement technology solutions that improve workflow management and operational efficiency.
Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborates with Enrollment Management leadership, academic colleges, Information Technology Services, Office of Institutional Research, and other campus partners to support enrollment objectives.
Assists in the development, implementation, and assessment of communication plans and communication flows for prospective students, applicants, parents, and other stakeholders.
Provides guidance and support to admissions counselors and campus partners regarding admissions processes, policies, and system functionality.
Prepares presentations, reports, and recommendations for university leadership and enrollment management committees.

Education – Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience – Ten years of related experience in Admissions, including related supervisory experience.
Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
Extensive experience with the Technolutions Slate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System and Banner Student Information System (SIS).
Demonstrated knowledge of data analytics, predictive modeling, and funnel reporting.
Knowledge of:
Advanced leadership, personnel management, and supervisory principles.
Technolutions Slate CRM functionality, architecture, and query building.
Banner Student Information System (SIS) data entry, structures, and integration.
Proficiency in Technolutions Slate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System and Banner Student Information System (SIS).
Standard business software applications, including word processing, complex spreadsheets, and databases.
The structural functions, regulatory environments, and operations of higher education institutions.
Strategic student recruitment, enrollment funnel dynamics, and higher education marketing principles.
Ability to:
Multitask, prioritize heavy operational volumes, and work collaboratively with cross-functional campus teams.
Communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing
Present complex operational data and enrollment trends clearly and concisely to executive leadership.
Utilize advanced enrollment technology to track, audit, and process all student types through the admissions lifecycle.
Collect, clean, analyze, and report on diverse and complex administrative data sets.
Physical Requirements
Ability to demonstrate trumpet performance concepts in instructional settings.
Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout classrooms, rehearsal spaces, performance venues, and offices.
Ability to lift, carry, and move instructional materials and musical equipment with assistance as needed.
Ability to travel independently for recruitment, outreach, professional activities, and university business.
Other Requirements and Factors
Travel may be required for regional events, training, or conferences.
Must be willing and able to work beyond normal office hours and/or work on weekends during peak admissions processing cycles and high-profile recruitment events.
