Job Summary:

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the smooth functioning of day-to-day operations of a large fiber to the home deployment project throughout the state of Oklahoma. He or she will develop the strategy for execution of this intricate project that includes both disgn and build aspects. With recognized expertise in the profession, the Senior Project Manager shares knowledge with colleagues, and offers mentorship and guidance to others.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Leads and promotes Ledcor safety culture on site, ensuring site safety and environmental standards are met or exceeded, and focuses on opportunities for improvement.
  • Will guide large and complex multi-discipline estimates, including the design-build joint venture
  • Will execute all aspects of risk management including client interface for complex jobs, including design-build projects.
  • Leads overall design effort, manages design coordinators on design-build jobs, and oversees project control processes. Manages construction costs and budgets on complex projects.
  • Oversees the creation and implementation of the Project Quality Plan (PQP). Leads Quality Assurance Program (QAP) when applicable (design-build projects) and manages the QA interface
  • Guides all aspects of subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement and negotiations for complex projects and design-build projects.
  • Leads set up of large and complex project systems and procedures, including chart of accounts, cost accounting system, and project directory spreadsheets
  • Will manage pursuit costs, including third party costs for engineers.

Qualifications:

  • Eight plus years of related construction experience as a Project Manager, or in a similar leadership role with responsabilities tied to people managment
  • College, trade or technical diploma in Construction, Engineering or related discipline required (preferred Bachelor's degree)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, current construction practices and methodology; solid understanding of construction costs and budgets
  • Demonstrates contract negotiation and management skills, with an in-depth understanding of contract documents
  • Has the proven ability to build successful teams and promote teamwork through motivating, coaching and consensus-building

Working Conditions:

  • This position will require travel throughout the state of Oklahoma up to 25% of the time
  • When not traveling, this position does have the ability to work from home
  • Company vehicle will be provided for all required travel
