An excellent opportunity is available for an Accounts Payable Manager to join our Financial Services team on a 12 month fixed term contract.

This role is responsible for leading Accounts Payable and Procurement and works closely with the Accounts Receivable Supervisor and in doing so contributes to the strategic and operational performance of the Group.  You will be part of the Financial Services team providing efficient and compliant support across RAC with transactional accounting services, financial accounting services, tax support and reporting. This role is based across our Joondalup and West Perth offices.

What will you be doing?                   

You will lead, coach and inspire the team to deliver high quality service as well as:

• Overseeing the accurate, efficient and compliant processing of Accounts Payable and supporting Procurement functions at RAC.
• Adhering to audit, Tax and RAC’s Corporate responsibilities and requirements.
• Helping drive compliance in the business for utilisation of RAC existing preferred suppliers.
• Developing Policy, evaluating and updating when required (Purchase to Pay Policy).
• Implementing a proactive process of continuous improvement, including investigation and remedy for any significant delivery failures and driving efficiencies in service delivery.
• Supporting and championing yearly internal and external audits for Accounts Payable and Procurement processes and procedures.
• Managing the reconciliation of Contractor Payments uploads.  
• Driving the Procurement and Accounts Payable monthly close off process and reviewing of Accounts Payable Ageing reports, facilitating action where required.
   

What are we looking for in you?

• Demonstrated experience in Supervision of accounts payable areas within a medium to large organisation or division.
• Working across multiple legal entities and systems.
• Experience in Microsoft Dynamics F&O.
• Proven written and verbal communication skills, including an understanding of the principles of effective negotiation.
• Demonstrated analytical and research skills, including the ability to identify issues, think laterally and develop appropriate strategies.
• Leadership skills – experience with leading, coaching and developing high performing teams.
• Accounting or financial experience combined with commercial experience (desirable).
