About the Programmable Solutions Group (PSG):
Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) empowers customers to unlock the full potential of data through cutting-edge programmable platforms. Intel Corporation announced its intent to separate its Programmable Solutions Group operations into a standalone business. This will give PSG the autonomy and flexibility it needs to fully accelerate its growth and more effectively compete in the FPGA industry, which serves a broad array of markets, including the data center, communications, industrial, automotive, aerospace and defense sectors.
In Q4 2023, Intel announced PSG will be reported as a separate business unit called Altera, an Intel company beginning on January 1, 2024 with ongoing support from Intel. This position is associated to that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future.
About the Role:
We are seeking a VP level leader with significant semiconductor direct experience to build and lead a high performing strategic operations team. As the manufacturing operations leader, you will play a pivotal in transforming PSG to operate as a standalone global technology design company. Your operations expertise, rapport with industry suppliers, and exceptional interpersonal skills are essential to thrive in this critical role within a fast-paced and dynamic environment. As a forward-thinking and business-focused leader, you will lead PSG's strategic sourcing organization to support short and long-term PSG strategy. VP level to be determined based on level of experience and qualifications.
Manages and leads a team of manufacturing operations experts, semiconductor manufacturing engineers, and/or manufacturing systems engineers overseeing production strategies.
Responsible for delivering customer commits at the required volume, time, and cost.
Plans and directs process improvements, ideally through automation, increasing production yield and supporting quality while minimizing costs.
Facilitates factory capacity planning to maximize capabilities to meet customer requirements and meet production goals.
Establishes and ensures adherence to operating policies and procedures for production requirements at senior levels.
Participates in the tasks of launching new products.
Develops and monitors reports and systems to manager utilization, output, commit goal, stockers capacity, and other KPIs and convenes weekly review meetings to discuss targets and achievements with relevant stakeholders.
Develops long-term strategies for manufacturing operations capabilities to support future requirements.
Responsible for enabling teams to execute through clear goal setting, facilitating work, maintaining accountability, applying differentiated performance management, and driving team results.
Drives results by inspiring people, role modeling Altera values, developing the capabilities of others, and ensuring a productive work environment.
