We are Silicon Labs. We are a leader in secure, intelligent wireless technology for a more connected world. Our integrated hardware and software platform, intuitive development tools, unmatched ecosystem and robust support make us the ideal long-term partner in building advanced industrial, commercial, home and life applications. We make it easy for developers to solve complex wireless challenges throughout the product lifecycle and get to market quickly with innovative solutions that transform industries, grow economies and improve lives.
Meet the Team
Silicon Labs Systems Team’s mission is to ensure our products have the right features and technologies to win in our target market segments. The team is responsible for generating technical requirements for our products by researching system requirements from the application level to the SoC feature level.
The Role
This role entails researching targeted applications (E.g., Smart Appliances, Doorbells, E-Metering) or technologies (E.g., BT/BLE, Thread and ZigBee Standards, SW Modeling) and generates requirements to drive our IoT hardware and software roadmaps. Requirements are created via strong comprehension of various standards, tearing down end-applications, engaging our customer’s engineering teams, and performing feasibility studies of new system-level solutions or optimizations. These requirements are documented in our requirements management tool and used to develop our product roadmap.
In addition to requirements generation and documentation, this role will identify and prototype high-value innovations, generate internal collateral, train internal audiences, and publish technical whitepapers.
What you’ll be doing
Collaborating with Product Marketing to guide our technical product roadmap
- Collaboration with engineers at our driver customers
- End-application teardown analysis
- Technical research on standards and applications
- Feasibility studies of potential system-level innovations
Verify system features meet our customers' requirements
Using a requirements management tool to capture market and product requirements and track them through development
Helping to train internal audiences on new applications, features, and technologies
Providing the deepest level of technical support to customer-facing teams
Develop and improve systems team processes
