Job Description

Our North America Sales team prioritizes our customers' needs and our employees' success. The various Technical Sales Specialist roles are crucial to our organization. As a member of our Domain Expert team, you will build relationships with the world's producers and work in partnership with customers, OEMs, systems integrators, and industry partners to solve unique challenges in industry. One potential post-program role is Technology Consultant, a technical resource for Rockwell Automation technology and products within their area(s) of expertise.

You will respond to prospect emails, phone calls, and demo requests capability and benefits of our portfolio to customers. They are responsible for technical support in pre-sales activities for a specific range of products within a defined geography. The Technology Consultant will help with commercial marketing activities, interface with product teams, be the contact for product and quality issues, provide post sales troubleshooting when needed, and act as a local interface with Tech Support.

This role is designed for early career professionals who are recent college graduates. You will start in a formal training program. This will be followed by a rotation in our field service engineering group to allow hands-on learning, implementing applications with Rockwell products for our customers. During the formal training program you will report to the program manager, then you will transition to reporting to a domain expert manager who will coach you through your customer interactions.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Legal authorization to work in the Canada is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future
  • Must be location flexible
  • Valid Canadian driver's license

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Previous intern experience with Rockwell Automation, our Partner Network, or our customers
  • Comfortable working with a variety of individuals
  • Previous co-op or intern experience in manufacturing or customer-facing role
  • Bachelor's/master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other technical degree
