The Opportunity
This role provides expertise in portfolio, program, and project management to BTS. Responsible for creating, updating, and managing the QRC portfolio, program and project management processes. Provides portfolio priority advice to senior management. Responsible for ensuring specific operational targets and goals for the teams are met and that policies and guidelines are followed and adhered to by the teams. Manages the QRC project managers. Manages the development of the annual planning functions and ensures smooth collaboration with other IT business functions to improve business performance and maximize opportunities through the portfolio.
This is a high exposure role expected to produce exceptional levels of excellence in overseeing BTS QRC projects and investments. Provides governance and oversight for programs and projects along with maintaining overall portfolio financials. Communicates resource allocation based on resource availability and prioritized.
What You’ll Work On
- Provide expertise on delivery of programs and projects within a System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) regardless of delivery method (i.e. Waterfall, Hybrid, Agile)
- Champion strong IT governance within the project management framework and mentor project managers in its development and continuous improvement
- Provide direct leadership to QRC project managers.
- Create a strategic portfolio inventory by identifying all ongoing projects, initiatives, and programs, categorizing them based on relevant strategic goals, and prioritizing and adjusting projects based on strategic importance.
- As new QRC project initiatives are received, prioritize them and drive end-to-end process improvements in such a way that enables growth and delivers cost estimation improvements.
- Develop and maintain a strategic portfolio management roadmap for all new and current QRC projects.
- Facilitate adherence to PM Processes and establish group-specific PM Processes when needed.
- Responsible for the systematic management of investments, projects, and activities within QRC.
- Work with project leaders to ensure project tracking is accurate.
- Serve as primary portfolio contact for Divisional BRMs and IT Service Managers
- Lead annual planning process including project, financial and prioritization reviews.
- Partner with OCM leadership to ensure readiness and communication expectations are included in project delivery.
Required Qualifications & Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- At least 10 years’ experience in project management, business systems analysis, software development or deployment, with a minimum of 9 years managing projects.
- Strong understanding of project management methodology, software development life cycle phases, and software development methodologies.
- Experience creating project governance processes.
- Strong executive presence during meetings
- Ability to design and optimize processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP Certification
- Experience with indirect management – managing by influence as opposed to positional authority.
- Proven leadership skills, including the ability to lead meetings and communicate course of action.
- Experience working with 3rd party suppliers.
- Strong analytical skills, including demonstrated proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Project - OCM execution skills
- Ability to drive results through others, particularly by establishing relationships, effective controls, and monitoring processes.
- Proven negotiation and influencing skills.
- Strong collaboration and partnering skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy-to-understand business terms to senior leaders.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners and sponsors.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and changing environment.
- Ability to work within a diverse, performance-based team environment.
Supervisory Responsibility:
- At least 3 years managing direct reports.

$95,000.00 – $190,000.00
