Position: Gift Shop Associate
Location: ALSAC Gift Shop on the Hospital Campus in Memphis TN
What You’ll Do:
- Customer Service Excellence: Provide outstanding service to our customers, including patients, families, staff, and visitors. You’ll assist with in-store purchases, phone orders, and mailings, ensuring a positive and memorable shopping experience.
- Sales & Inventory Management: Operate the cash register, handle daily transactions, and maintain accurate cash counts. Keep our shelves stocked and organized and help design attractive displays to entice customers.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Manager and other team members to ensure smooth daily operations. You’ll also step in as a backup to the Manager when needed.
- Housekeeping Duties: Keep the sales floor and stock areas clean and orderly. Receive, check in, and price new merchandise promptly.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: High School Diploma or GED with at least 2 years of retail sales experience in a similar setting.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively. Proficiency with computers and retail software.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs., and perform repetitive movements such as stooping and bending.
- Personal Traits: A friendly, courteous demeanor with a knack for problem-solving and a passion for helping others.
