Job Description Summary

The CoE Ops & Performance Leader drives operational excellence and outcomes across GE Vernova’s Robotics & Automation Center of Excellence (CoE). Acting as the “control tower” for GE Vernova’s global Robotics & Automation investment portfolio, this leader is responsible for global strategic budget management, KPI and bowler tracking, portfolio reporting, and the orchestration of governance forums. The CoE Ops & Performance Leader ensures full visibility for senior leadership, surfacing risks early and enabling rapid, data-driven decision-making that accelerates value delivery. By translating strategy into disciplined execution, this leader connects cross-functional teams, holds accountability for operational performance, and drives continuous improvement throughout the CoE and GE Vernova.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Architect, set strategy, and manage the operational cadence and portfolio rhythm of the Automation CoE, including annual operating plans, forecasting, and performance tracking.
  • Design and institutionalize enterprise-wide governance processes and dashboard including KPIs and bowler charts, providing actionable insights and clear visibility to business unit and corporate leadership.
  • Oversee budget management and resource allocation, ensuring investments align with strategic priorities and business outcomes.
  • Lead a team
  • Lead portfolio reporting, risk identification, and communication to senior executives—including the GEV CEO/Chairman and business unit CEOs—to support data-driven planning and effective issue resolution.
  • Define and connect GE Vernova Robotics and Automation opportunities to business -level commercial outcomes, top-level GE Vernova strategic imperatives and associated SQDC impact.
  • Define, shape, and orchestrate CoE governance forums, driving high-impact decision-making and ensuring all automation initiatives progress toward key milestones and measurable results.
  • Drive strategic partnerships with program leaders, technology architects, finance, HR, IT/OT, and business stakeholders to mobilize resources and overcome barriers to execution.
  • Develop, refine, and deploy frameworks for operational performance assessment, risk management, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a thought leader for operational rigor and best practices—representing the CoE in internal and external forums.
  • Foster a global culture of accountability, transparency, and pace, enabling the team to focus on outcomes, accelerate delivery, and fulfill automation portfolio objectives.
  • Build and mentor a team as CoE needs evolve, developing future leaders and driving engagement.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • Extensive experience in operational leadership, portfolio/program management, or performance management in a large matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated success architecting operating rhythms, managing budgets, developing KPIs, and leading governance processes at the enterprise level.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex data, synthesize insights, and enable high-level strategic decisions.
  • Strong business acumen, with comprehensive understanding of resource planning, financial management, and automation portfolio performance.
  • Experience engaging and influencing senior executives, up to CEO/Chairman level.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills; able to drive change and deliver results across cross-functional teams.
