Job Summary

As the Distribution Center Manager, you’ll take the lead in driving operational excellence across our warehouse and yard. Your mission is to ensure seamless, efficient processes with customer satisfaction at the forefront. In this role, you’ll shape strategies, streamline workflows, and champion a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Principal Responsibilities

  • Lead with purpose: Oversee daily distribution operations to achieve service and quality goals.
  • Prioritize safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety standards for employees, contractors, and carriers.
  • Develop talent: Build and inspire a high-performing team through coaching, goal setting, and performance reviews.
  • Optimize resources: Manage scheduling, timecard approvals, and workforce planning.
  • Drive results: Monitor KPIs and implement strategies to boost productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accuracy: Oversee inventory control through physical counts and system reconciliation.
  • Manage budgets: Prepare annual budgets, track expenditures, and analyze variances.
  • Collaborate effectively: Partner with transportation, procurement, production, and customer service teams.
  • Ensure compliance: Adhere to internal standards, regulatory requirements, and programs such as C-TPAT.
  • Champion improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives and propose innovative solutions.
  • Protect assets: Maintain facilities and equipment through proactive maintenance and repairs.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of leadership experience in distribution or logistics (union environment experience is an asset).
  • Strong bilingual communication skills (English and French).
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with RF systems and SAP is an asset.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage processes, and analyze data effectively.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
