Job Summary:

In this role, you’ll design the travel program that powers PayPal’s global workforce. You’ll lead sourcing strategies for airlines, hotels, ground transportation, and travel tech, forging strategic partnerships and negotiating agreements that enhance traveler satisfaction while driving significant value. Using real-time market insights and supplier analytics, you’ll elevate procurement processes, innovate the travel experience, and ensure the program meets the highest standards of compliance, safety, and operational excellence.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Execute the organization's sourcing strategy, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and delivers value.
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, cost savings, and quality improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define material, quality, and service requirements and ensure alignment with sourcing strategies.
  • Develop and use scorecards to measure and evaluate supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of sourcing operations.
  • Explore and evaluate new sources, methods, and vendors to ensure a reliable supply of materials.

Expected Qualifications:

  • 10+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Be the executive face of travel, cultivating powerful partnerships with top airlines, hotels, agencies, and technology providers to deliver unmatched value and service.
  • Drive industry-leading innovations, from next-gen travel tech to traveler experience enhancements, setting new standards for corporate mobility.
  • Architect a global travel ecosystem, integrating policy, operations, technology, and supplier performance into a seamless, world-class program.
  • Lead high-stakes negotiations that deliver significant cost savings, risk reduction, and premium service levels for the company.
  • Shape the traveler experience end-to-end, ensuring safety, comfort, convenience, and policy alignment for all employees.
  • Build and guide a high-performing travel team, fostering strategic thinking, excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee critical duty-of-care initiatives, partnering with Security and HR to protect and support employees wherever they travel.
  • Deliver clear, data-driven insights that influence senior leadership decisions on travel strategy, spend, and supplier direction.
  • Champion operational excellence, ensuring flawless delivery from third-party partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead competitive sourcing events and RFPs, establishing best-in-class commercial structures and long-term supplier performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders in Finance, HR, Legal, and Procurement to align program goals with enterprise priorities.
  • Develop travel policies and governance frameworks that reflect evolving business needs, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
  • Drive adoption and change management, educating stakeholders and empowering employees to engage confidently with the travel program.

The base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring. The expected range of pay for this role by location is:

Primary Location | Pay Range:

San Jose, California | ($159,500.00 - $236,500.00 Annually)

Additional Location(s) | Pay Range:

Austin, Texas | ($145,000.00 - $215,050.00 Annually)

Additional compensation for this role may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation, as applicable. This role is also eligible for a range of benefits which may include, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, parental and family leave, 401(k) savings plan, paid time off, and other benefits.
