Patient Registrar - Urology - Queens Medical Group - Fresh Meadows - Full Time - Days

Responsibilities:

• Register 90 patients a day on average for various procedures and appointments
• Obtain demographic details, insurance information, and ensure proper scheduling
• Record patient history and obtain pre-certification and authorization  
• Provide calm and reassuring support to patients throughout their hospital experience

This is a Full Time Monday-Friday position. Shifts 9:00am-5:00pm, overtime as needed. Shift could change based on operational needs. Located at 75-68 187th Street, Fresh Meadows . Queens NY.

May be required to cover for other practices within Queens Medical Group based on operational needs.

Preferred Criteria:

•  Completed some college coursework and are familiar with health insurance requirements.
• Experience working in a busy medical practice that have heavy volume phone lines.
• Epic Experience
• Bilingual- Chinese or Spanish speaking

 

Required Criteria:

•  Qualified candidates have at least one year of clerical experience.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Energetic, approachable individual with a desire to put patients first.

$28.83-$36.00/Hourly
