The Assistant Manager will support Asia Finance Transformation to review and streamline key finance processes to reduce manual tasks and support data driven business decision making. The incumbent will focus on analyzing and redesigning current processes, partner with technology teams in developing solutions and rolling out the new processes with a regional and global impact.
 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support finance process redesign initiatives across Asia by analyzing current workflows, documenting end‑to‑end processes, and identifying improvement opportunities.

  • Map and redesign finance processes (in-market and shared services) in alignment with Regional and Global standards, ensuring solutions can scale across markets.

  • Lead discussions with process owners to gather requirements, understand issues, and recommend data‑driven solutions aligned with business objectives.

  • Develop rollout plans for redesigned processes, including documentation, timelines, training materials, and stakeholder communications.

  • Drive change management activities such as impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, training support, and post‑implementation reviews to ensure high adoption.

  • Partner with technical teams to define business requirements, test solutions, and ensure alignment with redesigned processes.

  • Track initiative progress, prepare status updates for project sponsors, and proactively escalate risks or issues.

  • Prioritize initiatives with local finance teams and coordinate global/regional alignment where required.

  • Define KPIs to measure transformation benefits and track performance post‑deployment.

  • Lead regular business reviews and prepare dashboards covering productivity, utilization, attendance, challenges, and improvement areas.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Technology, or related fields; professional certification (e.g., CPA) is an advantage.

  • 5+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance Operations, Shared Services, or Finance Transformation; experience in insurance, banking, or financial institutions preferred.

  • Exposure to cross‑functional process improvement or digital transformation initiatives is an advantage.

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate data into insights and actionable recommendations.

  • Good understanding of finance processes and systems.

  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, multi‑stakeholder environment.

  • Proactive, curious, and process‑minded, with the ability to challenge the status quo and drive improvements.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and support change adoption.

  • Proficiency in Excel, data analysis tools (alteryx, powerbi, power apps), and process mapping techniques is an added advantage.
