Technical Support Engineer – Fire Suppression

Effective fire suppression requires reliable products, technical expertise, and proven systems. For over 140 years, Johnson Controls has led innovation in fire suppression, from patenting the modern fire sprinkler to delivering advanced Fire Suppression solutions worldwide.

We manufacture, configure, and support a comprehensive range of Fire Suppression systems, including sprinklers, valves, extinguishers, agents, special hazards systems, and related components. We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer to provide technical and engineering support to our Fire Suppression commercial operations.

What You Will Do

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will support Fire Suppression projects by preparing technical documentation, calculations, and engineering support materials. Working closely with Sales, Inside Sales, customers, and distributors, you will ensure correct Fire Suppression system application and compliance with relevant standards. You may also support Fire Suppression technical training activities on an occasional basis.

How You Will Do It

  • Provide technical and engineering support to Sales and Inside Sales teams on Fire Suppression products and applications.
  • Prepare bills of materials, technical calculations, and supporting documentation for Fire Suppression quotations.
  • Produce basic Fire Suppression system layouts and drawings using AutoCAD in line with predefined standards.
  • Review customer specifications and interpret applicable Fire Suppression codes and regulations.
  • Support accurate Fire Suppression project quotations based on defined requirements.
  • Act as a technical point of reference for Fire Suppression customers and distributors.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Fire Suppression technical or engineering support role.
  • Strong English communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Experience using AutoCAD; BIM experience is an advantage.
  • Detail‑focused, service‑oriented mindset with strong problem‑solving skills.
