Position Overview

As a Senior System Engineer, IT Systems you will provide advanced technical expertise in the design, implementation, and support of Vantage’s enterprise IT systems. You will lead complex projects, troubleshoot critical issues, and guide junior engineers in maintaining high-performing, secure, and scalable systems. This role requires deep technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and collaboration with cross-functional IT teams to ensure reliable system operations.

Essential Job Functions

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise systems, including ERP, ITSM, cloud, and collaboration platforms.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues affecting enterprise IT systems.

• Lead system integration projects, ensuring seamless operation across applications and business functions.

• Collaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders to implement technical solutions aligned with requirements.

• Mentor and provide guidance to junior system engineers and support staff.

• Monitor system performance, security, and availability; recommend optimizations and improvements.

• Assist with planning and executing system upgrades, patches, and configurations.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.

• Ensure compliance with IT policies, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.

• Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and propose improvements to enhance enterprise systems.

• Provide technical input for IT projects, architecture reviews, and operational initiatives.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).

• 5–8 years of IT experience, with at least 3 years in system engineering, enterprise systems, or advanced technical roles.

• Strong technical expertise in enterprise platforms, cloud technologies, integrations, and system architecture.

• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues.

• Experience mentoring or guiding junior engineers or IT staff.

• Familiarity with data governance, cybersecurity, and compliance requirements.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical collaboration and documentation.

• Travel required is expected to be up to 5% but may increase over time as the business evolves.
