Job Title:

Full-Time Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Psychiatric Technician

Division/Program:

Crisis Residential Treatment Facility (Adult Inpatient)

Starting Compensation:

32.00 - 34.00 USD Per Hour

Working Location:

Fresno, CA

Working Hours/Shift:

Thursday, Friday, Saturday NOC Shift 1800-0630. $2 NOC Shift Differential

What you bring:

  • High School diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED, HiSET, etc.) required
  • Associate degree in nursing or social science field preferred.
  • One (1) year nursing experience required, preferably treating the mentally ill in an inpatient setting. (Clinical nursing school rotations may be substituted for a portion of work experience.)
  • One (1) year medication administration experience preferred.
  • Valid California LVN or LPT license required.

How you will make a difference

  • Provides direct nursing care and supervises same provided by all nursing staff on the shift worked.
  • Makes written or oral shift assignments and plans, organizes, and directs the nursing activities of the unit, assuring quality care delivery.
  • Visually and audibly observes, documents in writing, and reports orally or in writing the physical or mental condition to the Program Manager and the attending physician or nurse practitioner.
  • Orders, prepares, administers, and documents the administration of medication for clients according to physicians’ or nurse practitioners’ orders. Confirms delivery of all ordered medication from pharmacy on shift worked.
  • Responsible for writing a weekly summary on clients as assigned.
  • Monitors and maintains appropriate nursing documentation in the medical record for shift worked.

  • 24/7 inpatient voluntary program
  • 16-bed facility for adults (ages 18-59)
  • Rehabilitation/recovery services, including substance use rehabilitation services
  • Pre-vocational or vocational counseling
  • Medication evaluation and support services
