About the Role
A key member of our AI/BI team who will strongly influence business decisions by helping to develop and institutionalise a data-driven approach across the organisation. The incumbent will work closely with business units across Asia and other functions in the Group office, including Marketing, Distribution, Strategy, Finance, Digital and Operations. His/her primary role will be acting as business analyst and project manager of AI and machine learning solutions managed AI COE across multiple business applications.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Learn about the technical details of solutions (in relation to T2 initiatives under TDA) developed in AIA CN (present and future) for knowledge transfer and leverage existing GIO solutions and adapt them to the China market.
- Provide executive oversight of project timelines and delivery cadence across all GIO Solution initiatives, ensuring adherence to strategic deadlines and proactive mitigation of risks to project milestones.
- Provide executive leadership by facilitating regular cross-functional meetings with LBU heads to ensure strategic alignment, optimal resource allocation, and oversight of project milestones.
- Deliver high-level briefings and progress updates on key initiatives to senior stakeholders (e.g. Group EXCO, BU CEO and CTO), facilitating informed decision-making.
- Drive governance for the Gen AI strategy (in relation to T2 initiatives under TDA) by establishing best practices, curating impactful materials, and leading weekly strategy sessions with BU executives to foster continuous alignment with goals.
- Oversee the end-to-end coordination of major enterprise meetings, ensuring all executive-level materials are prepared within critical deadlines, including those required for the GIO Steering Committee and CEOs Innovation Forums.
- Assist in preparing presentations for various forums, such as CTO meetings, LYS meetings, and workshops.
- Oversee resource allocation and management for the China Centre of Excellence, ensuring effective data science deployment to GIO projects. Manage service requests and coordinate chargebacks to business units.
- Oversee project budgets and ensure optimal use of resources.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a numerate discipline, e.g. Actuarial science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or Computer Science;
- At least 10 years of working experience, ideally with experience in analytics functions;
- 5+ years of experience in project management, with at least 2 years in AI, data science, or technology-driven environments.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, data pipelines, and model lifecycle.
- Proven experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Articulate, with excellent oral and written communication skills. Adaptable, able to interact and build strong relationships with people from a diverse range of backgrounds;
- Fast learner with a willing attitude. Intellectually rigorous, with strong analytical skills and a passion for data and analytics;
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications are a plus.
