The Data Engineer (Vehicle) is responsible for supporting an autonomous driving project. The vehicle will be capturing data on controlled access roads in varying conditions. The vehicles will be instrumented with the appropriate sensors to provide our customer with daily vehicle data. After each day of driving the vehicle hard drives will be removed, replaced, and the data transferred to the appropriate servers to ensure data integrity. This role will be a main point of contact to the LINK project manager. This Data Engineer is technically responsible for organizing, executing and coordinating the data transfer process – this includes hardware tracking, logistics and communication amongst the team.
This position is located in a laboratory environment and will involve hands-on work with tools and testing equipment. Physical activity will include lifting (up to 50 lbs.), bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity.
