Our Intern Program is designed to support the development of students and recent graduates for future positions by offering one-on-one mentoring, peer and experiential learning, internal training programs, and much more. We are currently accepting applications for undergraduate and master’s level students or recent graduates seeking the opportunity to work in the investment management space.  

IMCO (Investment Management Corporation of Ontario) is looking for a highly motivated individual, who is passionate about the financial markets and interested in learning about IMCO’s institutional clients to join our Client Relationship Management team!  

As part of the CRM team, you will support client-facing relationship managers and contribute to the delivery of high-quality materials to support servicing IMCO’s current and prospective institutional clients. This role will also involve working collaboratively with internal teams to coordinate the preparation of investment and risk reporting, investment strategy reviews, updates on strategic initiatives and other key client deliverables on a wide range of IMCO investment strategies, risk oversight and end-to-end solutions.  

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Working directly with the CRM team to provide best-in-class investment and risk reporting, servicing, and support to IMCO’s institutional clients. 
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual client deliverables. 
  • Collaborating with IMCO teams to coordinate and produce accurate and timely investment performance reporting as well as other client deliverables. 
  • Gathering data and related information to quickly respond to client information requests. 
  • Collaborating with other CRM team members on advancing strategic initiatives and special projects (i.e., implementation of key priorities from IMCO’s long-term business plan, client development activities, analysis, and support on client research publications etc.). 
  • Building an understanding of IMCO’s range of investment, risk and operational offerings and solutions. 

 What You Need to Succeed: 

  • Completion of 3rd year post-secondary education and above, with functional understanding of investment, financial, and economic concepts. 
  • Interest in financial markets and investments. 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when preparing deliverables. 
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and manage time. 
  • A collaborative mindset and positive attitude. 
  • Diligent work ethic with excellent analytical skills and strong problem-solving ability. 
  • Looking to continue to develop effective communication skills (both verbal and written). 
  • An ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment and manage multiple priorities. 
  • Driven to continuously learn from experiences and seek out feedback and development opportunities. 
  • Willingness to learn new things, be a self-starter and work independently. 
  • Interest in supporting and building relationships with key internal and client stakeholders. 
  • Act as a representative of the CRM team and display a client-focused mindset when interacting with IMCO team members. 
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Windows.

The base salary range for this position is CAD $45,000 to $65,000. The placement within the range is determined by the role and assessment of the candidate’s year of study and relevant work experience.
