Position: Experienced quality engineering professional with exceptional communication skills to lead Appian's quality initiatives, increasing the value of the QE team through evolution of quality tools and processes and personnel. Ensure that quality plans, processes, tools and personnel are in place and effectively applied for squad, group and program level quality needs, driving continuous improvement activities. Ensure integrity and value of Quality information radiation (bugs, tests, etc). Effectively manage up to 12 direct reports – Technical Mentors of QEs, Managers of QE and various levels of QEs - through mentoring and coaching. Foster a culture of learning and growth inspiring direct reports to constantly improve how QE serves the organization through Quality initiatives and other methods. Perform HR mgmt. tasks for each direct report inc. timesheet approval, training, coaching, communication of raises and bonuses, performance reviews, etc.

Requirements: Master's degree in CS, Info. Systems or related + min. 5 years of experience in job offered or as Quality, Test, Performance Eng. with 2 years as manager/mentor or in lieu of the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in CS, Info. Systems or related + min. 10 years of experience in job offered or as Quality, Test, Performance Eng. with 2 years as manager/mentor.
