Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Planning for Submission of Award
Collaborate with Research Development and Grants Administration staff to ensure that faculty plan for large-scale proposal submissions.
Assist with the organization of workshops, ideas labs, or other faculty collaborative activities necessary to develop successful proposals.
Provide support to committees and workgroups, including developing agendas, materials, and summaries.
Planning for Implementation of Award
Analyze RFP to understand agency requirements.
Breakdown award proposal to develop timeline for major deliverables.
Create documentation for tracking completion of grant activities.
Work with grants administration to monitor budgets and complete needed reporting.
Create outline of available resources and those needed.
Execution of Implementation Plan for Award(s)
Work with the Principal Investigator(s) to refine and update implementation plans, including identifying appropriate metrics and outcomes.
Create long- and short-term work plans, including setting targets for milestones and deadlines.
Track, documents, and communicate progress in collaboration with supervisor.
Identify data needs and appropriate sources.
Prepare necessary background information and materials; research issues and make proactive inquiries.
Contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts and activities to facilitate the utilization of data for decision-making.
Project Coordination/Administration
Collaborate with Project Manager to identify opportunities to coordinate and leverage efforts and resources.
Serve as the primary contact for internal and external partners for payroll, logistics, etc.
Assist with planning and execution of events, workshops, readings, meetings, etc.
Maintain and update work plans and timelines.
Prepare regular progress reports.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Schedule meetings and events.
May supervise students.
Delegate/assign tasks as appropriate.
Perform other duties as assigned.
