Job Description Qualifications:

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate, Mid and Lead -Level Manufacturing Engineer to become part of the Supply Chain Engineering Team in Huntington Beach, California.

This position is for Manufacturing Engineering reporting to Boeing Global Services Spares Engineering and supports the Emergent Fabrication Center in Huntington Beach CA.   This role involves reviewing internal Boeing customer requests for fabrication related to metallic machined, sheet metal, and assembly parts. The employee will be responsible for tracking the part throughout the build cycle and insuring the part is built on time per approved specifications and processes.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conducts assessments of manufacturing processes and practices for comparison to applicable standards and criteria.
  • Analyzes and interprets data.
  • Provides feedback on assessment results. Works with organizations to develop strategies, plans and metrics to accomplish company initiatives using Lean methodologies or other applicable tools and processes.
  • Works at the appropriate level in the organization to implement strategies and plans. Works under general direction
  • Interact with internal personnel, inter-organizational and external customers on routine matters.
  • This position will require the candidate to support weekends and holidays.
  • May be asked to support other programs and departmental needs as required.
  • This position is for a 2nd shift role.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.  

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options (Huntington Beach, CA).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Design Engineering or related field.
  • Engineering degree ABET accredited.
  • 1+ years’ experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • 1+ years’ experience utilizing professional/technical writing skills, teaming successfully to solve technical issues.
  • 3+ years’ experience in machine shop environment.
  • 1+ years’ experience with material processing for metals (e.g., welding forging, heat treat, machining, forming), polymers and composites (e.g., autoclave curing, lay-up, co-curing, repair), sealants and finishes processing (e.g., plating, painting, surface preparation, fay surface sealing, fillet sealing), and/or ceramic (e.g., high temperature processing, machining) and electronic materials (e.g., soldering, printed circuit board cleaning, conformal coating).
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays if required.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years' experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite Skills.
  • Working knowledge of SAP (system applications and products).
  • Experience in interfacing with customers to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Background in aerospace manufacturing.
  • 1+ years’ of mechanical experience as a machinist, mechanic or other mechanical aptitudes a plus.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships by helping people feel valued, appreciated, and included in discussions.
  • Place high priority on team and/or organization goals.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm, energy and motivation.
  • Proactive in offering assistance to direct team members, supervisor, and cross-departmental teams.

Associate-Level (2):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Mid-Level (3):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Lead-Level (4):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Associate-Level Summary pay range: $80,750- $109,250

Mid-Level Summary pay range: $96,050 – 129,950

Lead-Level Summary pay range: $117,300 – 158,700
