We are searching for the best talent for Warehouse Assistant to be based in Leiden.

We are looking for a hands-on Warehouse Assistant who ensures smooth, accurate flow of goods and materials into, through, and out of our warehouse. You will keep inventory reliable, support timely shipments and internal deliveries, and help maintain a safe, organized space that meets GMP and EHS expectations — your work keeps operations running and people supported!

As a Warehouse Assistant, you will:

  • Receive and process incoming goods and materials (physical checks and administrative logging) to ensure accurate, traceable stock for production and sales.
  • Prepare sales orders for shipment and complete associated documentation, coordinating with carriers to schedule export pickups and ensure shipments leave on time.
  • Maintain accurate inventory through regular stock counts and updates in the automated system, identify discrepancies, and drive corrective action.
  • Deliver and pick up materials between departments and replenish PRO locations with correct quantities to prevent production delays.
  • Operate warehouse transport equipment safely (reach truck, electric pallet truck, scissor lifts, pump trucks, stacker) and maintain a clean, organized warehouse managed under FIFO/FEFO and GMP rules.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement projects and monthly inspection rounds, complete required trainings on time, and assist other departments with warehouse-related improvements.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Practical experience in warehouse or logistics operations, or equivalent vocational training; comfortable performing both physical and administrative tasks.
  • Proven track record receiving, preparing, and dispatching orders accurately, including handling export documentation and carrier communications.
  • Hands-on experience operating warehouse equipment (reach truck, electric pallet truck, scissor lift, stacker); hold required certifications or demonstrate willingness to obtain them.
  • Familiarity with inventory control practices (stock counts, FIFO/FEFO) and experience using an automated warehouse management or ERP system with strong attention to administrative detail.
  • Solid understanding of Environment, Health & Safety and GMP standards, with a commitment to complete trainings and perform routine inspection rounds.
  • Collaborative communicator who can work with carriers and cross-functional teams and who supports and contributes to continuous improvement work.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is 34,200 to 50.600 on an annual basis and includes 8% holiday allowance.

At Johnson & Johnson, we want every candidate to feel supported throughout the hiring process. Our goal is to make the experience clear, fair, and respectful of your time.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Application review: We’ll carefully review your CV to see how your skills and experience align with the role.
  • Getting to know you: If there’s a good match, you’ll be invited to a short call with one of our recruitment team to understand more about you and answer any questions that you might have.
  • Staying informed: We know waiting can be hard and processes can evolve; our recruitment team will keep you updated and make sure you know what to expect at each step.
  • Final steps: For successful candidates, you will need to complete country-specific checks before starting your new role. We will help guide you through these.

Finally, at the end of the process, we’ll invite you to share feedback in a short survey — your input helps us continue improving the experience for future candidates. Thank you for considering a career with Johnson & Johnson. We’re excited to learn more about you and wish you the best of luck in the process! #RPOEMEA #LI_Onsite
