The opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic individual to join Hitachi, Ltd. as an IT Product Owner / Solution Architect. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, driving the strategic vision and successful delivery of innovative IT products and services within Hitachi's diverse portfolio.
How you will make an impact:
- Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with Hitachi's business objectives and technological advancements.
- Elicit, analyze, prioritize, and document detailed business and functional requirements from stakeholders, translating them into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Design comprehensive and scalable technical solutions, including architectural blueprints, system integrations, data models, and infrastructure considerations, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
- Act as the primary liaison between business units, development teams, UX/UI designers, and other IT departments to ensure a shared understanding of product goals and technical constraints.
- Own and prioritize the product backlog, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews, and ensuring continuous delivery of value.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensuring best practices in software development, security, and performance are adhered to.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.
- Identify and mitigate technical and product-related risks, proactively addressing potential issues to ensure project success.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for products and solutions, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with external vendors and partners for solution delivery and integration, ensuring alignment with Hitachi's standards.
Your background:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in IT with a strong background in software development, system architecture, or product management roles.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in an Agile/Scrum environment. Demonstrable experience as a Solution Architect, designing and implementing complex IT solutions.
- Solid understanding of various architectural patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and API design principles. Proficiency in modern software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps). Experience with various databases (relational, NoSQL) and data integration techniques.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) as a plus.
- TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or similar architectural certifications as a plus.
