The Opportunity:

Join an enthusiastic team looking to make a difference in the lives of  today’s military!  CACI has an immediate need for a Cybersecurity Engineer to support the Naval Medical Readiness Logistics Command Detachment Fort Detrick (NMRLC DET FTD)’s Operational Forces Support (OFS) Directorate.

Cybersecurity tasks include providing diverse professional equipment support services, providing technical evaluations of vendor proposals to ensure compliance with specifications, providing consultation and advisory services to NMRLC DET FTD, Naval Fleet and Naval Operational Forces deployed worldwide, and serving as the liaison with industry on related information technology and information security for medical devices and systems.

The project is within CACI's Healthcare Delivery Systems portfolio.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide input to drafting cybersecurity documentation for NMRLC DET FTD procured and managed medical equipment and medical systems. 
  • Provide continued support to NMRLC DET FTD for medical device information security support.
  • Support the day-to-day activities of the Medical Equipment and Logistics Solutions Directorate.
  • Work with NMRLC DET FTD staff and customers to identify and implement Navy security policies as they pertain to medical devices and equipment.  Present DoD and Navy IT and IA policies to vendor business partners and NMRLC DET FTD customers.
  • Provide input to and draft cybersecurity documentation and carry out activities leading to security certification or accreditation of medical equipment information systems and devices. 
  • Obtain information regarding medical device security from medical device manufacturers.
  • Evaluate medical technology cybersecurity readiness and assist with protecting DoD/Navy information resources and assets from attack and/or compromise.
  • Assist with selecting the security control baseline for medical technologies.
  • Assist with entering and maintaining medical technologies within the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
  • Assemble cybersecurity documentation and/or packages for medical devices and submit them for consideration and approval.
  • Keep abreast of DoD and Navy IT and cybersecurity policy changes and how they affect medical technology procurement and deployment.


Qualifications:

Required: 

  • At least 3 year of experience in DoD compliance and certification and accreditation policy.
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and systems is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of systems analysis and design techniques, pertinent characteristics of software, computer equipment, data-base management, and information systems security techniques in order to perform detailed analysis and studies.
  • Knowledge of concepts, policies, procedures and implementation strategies, to accomplish delivery of business requirements, processes, products and services.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 programs, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, SharePoint and Visio.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in analyzing security logs generated by Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), firewalls, Anti-Virus, and/or other security logging sources is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of general cybersecurity concepts
  • Security+ or equivalent certification is required within six months of reporting to NMRLC DET FTD.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$102,900 - $216,200
