Medical Assistant – Orthopedic Surgery

Make a lasting impression on patients at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens as a Medical Assistant in our Department of Orthopedics. At NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, Medical Assistants are invaluable care providers. Provide compassionate patient focused care and improve the patient experience as you maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Feel the pride of going above and beyond to help others as you assist in patient preparation for treatment, including measuring and recording vital signs, medication reconciliation, update medical history. perform wound care and suture removal and dressing change under the supervision of the physician. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care.  So, bring your smile to work. Infuse energy and hospitality into a patient's day. Provide comfort and caring as a medical assistant at NYP Queens-keeping our fast-paced environments running smoothly.

This is a full-time day shift position.

Variable Shift 8am-4pm. 8:30am-4:30pm, 9:00am-5:00pm (based on the need of the Department)

Preferred Criteria

  • Bilingual (Fluent in English Spanish)
  • A minimum of one year experience within Orthopedics in a healthcare setting
  • EPIC experience

Required Criteria

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Certification from an approved Medical Assistant program

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
