About the role

Payments is where trust gets built or broken. Our checkout handles billions in transactions. Creators depend on us to get paid. That means capturing payments, verifying identity, managing balances, and transferring money needs to be fast and secure.

You'll build systems where the stakes are real. The best checkout is fast, obvious, and reassuring. The best payout experience is frictionless. Creators trust us with their income. We take that seriously.

What you'll do:

• Improve conversion our checkout page that handles billions in global transaction volume.
• Create embeddable payments primitives that developers love to use.
• Build beautiful interfaces that help business owners get paid frictionlessly.
• Ship full stack code across our Next.js frontend and Ruby on Rails backend. You might even find yourself in Rust.
• Instrument and iterate on new features through experimentation.

You'll thrive here if you

• Have a designer's eye. You notice when spacing is off, when animations feel janky, when flows could be simpler.
• Understand that payments UI is a trust exercise/
• Have built embeddable components that lived inside other people's products.
• Comfortable with financial systems and know how money moves.
• Ship fast without sacrificing quality.
