Job Summary

Responsible for the sorting, building clean linen cart, distribution, linen par level maintenance, as well as responsible for retrieve soiled linen and soiled lien carts.

Essential Functions

  • Ensures the distribution of clean linen to a variety of departments within the hospital. Duties include sorting, staging, and restocking linen as needed.

  • Adheres to and maintains designated linen pars within the various departments.

  • Responsible for cart staging which includes: Counting and assembling linen items on clean linen cart.

  • Assures linen quality meets acceptable Beaumont Health standards and guidelines.

  • Distribution of clean linen carts to the various hospital departments.

  • Assures all clean linen carts, closets and racks in the various departments are organized, stocked, and maintained according to required pars.

  • Maintain clean linen room standards and guidelines, and keeps linen room clean and in an orderly condition.

  • Updates linen lead and supervisor of all linen discrepancies including: linen damages, cart discrepancies, cart maintenance, and linen par variance.

  • Collection of soiled linen and soiled linen carts.

  • Rounding of assigned linen areas throughout the facility.

  • Fulfill stat call needs.

  • All other linen distribution clerk responsibilities as assigned and needed.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 1 year of relevant experience 1-2 years.
