The Neuberger Berman Fixed Income Technology team is looking for a Senior Technology professional with proven experience managing a front office facing team. An ideal candidate would have worked in the financial industry and have a good grasp of the Fixed-Income asset class and concepts.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into effective technology solutions.

  • Manage delivery of financial markets platforms including Order Management Systems, risk systems, and research systems

  • Meet with stakeholders to update on progress, prioritization, and future road mapping

  • Assist in managing multiple strategic vendor partnerships

  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of technology solutions that support Fixed Income businesses and processes.

  • Lead and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and software engineering.

  • Must be highly organized with the ability to effectively prioritize work.

  • Stay current of the latest technology trends and advancements in the fixed income space to drive innovation and efficiency within the team.

  • Partner and collaborate with peers on cross-cutting initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent industry experience.

  • 15+ years' experience working in asset management technology or similar field

  • Understanding of the investment life cycle including portfolio management, trading, and settlements

  • Working knowledge of financial markets asset classes; Fixed Income expertise is a plus

  • Proven experience in managing technology teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget

  • Strong ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors

  • Deep understanding of financial Market Data

  • Experience managing mid-size teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.

  • Ability to oversee architected solutions to ensure they are fit for purpose

  • Experience with programming languages Python, C#, and SQL along with data modeling and database design

  • Cloud Experience with either Azure/AWS/Google is a plus.

  • Intellectual curiosity and passion for solving challenging problems using technology.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills.

  • Strong sense of professional pride and individual accountability.

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $180,000-$230,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
