Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. PSLD is responsible for the worldwide distribution of Cat aftermarket parts, integrated logistics, and global service to develop and support our global dealer network and customers.

As a member of the Grimbergen Planning Team, you will play a key role in safeguarding the availability and efficient management of all indirect materials across our Grimbergen Distribution Center and our contract packager, A‑Pack. You will be entrusted with daily ownership of material availability, stock accuracy, supplier interactions, and coordination between internal teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a structured ordering cadence with both overseas and local suppliers, ensuring consistent material availability and supporting efficient reporting processes.

  • Follow up on inbound – Indirect Material containers, ensuring call offs, documentation, and logistics processes are completed accurately and on time.

  • Conduct regular supplier touchpoints to review performance, address issues, and ensure service, delivery, and quality expectations are consistently met.

  • Receive purchase orders in Coupa on time and ensure timely invoice approval to support accurate financial processing.

  • Deliver regular forecast updates to our suppliers to support proactive supply planning and alignment with demand.

  • Support a wide range of ad‑hoc operational requests and contribute actively to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

  • Identify and address overstock situations through root‑cause analysis, corrective actions, stock rearrangements, and repurposing where possible.

  • Lead and support packaging‑related improvement projects focused on efficiency, sustainability, and cost reduction.

  • Communicate updates on packaging quantity (PQ) changes and provide supporting analysis to internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in supply chain, planning, procurement, or operations.

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

  • High level of accuracy and ability to work in a structured, focused manner.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Good knowledge of MS Office; experience with Coupa and Power BI is an advantage.

  • Strong command of Dutch and English.

  • A proactive “can‑do” mindset with a willingness to take responsibility.

  • A lean, continuous‑improvement mindset aimed at simplifying, optimizing, and standardizing processes.
