• Process disability claims in accordance with the provisions of various group insurance contracts

• Communicate with various parties by phone and email to get an overall understanding of the context of the absence

• Approve and make decisions on claims, determine the period payable, process payments and ensure that the necessary follow-ups are performed in a timely manner

• Develop strategies and build strong relationships to implement an action plan to facilitate the insured’s recovery and return to work in a timely and sustainable manner

Ce que vous mettrez à profit

• Diplôme d’études collégiales (DEC technique) dans une discipline appropriée

• A minimum of three years of relevant experience as a disability claims specialist (short- and/or long-term disability management or similar experience in group insurance)

• Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

• Proficiency in French, both spoken and written

• Advanced intermediate proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
