Process disability claims in accordance with the provisions of various group insurance contracts
Communicate with various parties by phone and email to get an overall understanding of the context of the absence
Approve and make decisions on claims, determine the period payable, process payments and ensure that the necessary follow-ups are performed in a timely manner
Develop strategies and build strong relationships to implement an action plan to facilitate the insured’s recovery and return to work in a timely and sustainable manner

Ce que vous mettrez à profit
Diplôme d’études collégiales (DEC technique) dans une discipline appropriée
A minimum of three years of relevant experience as a disability claims specialist (short- and/or long-term disability management or similar experience in group insurance)
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Proficiency in French, both spoken and written
Advanced intermediate proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
