The Intel Neural Processing Unit (NPU) Team has been at the forefront of designing and delivering solutions for exciting new machine vision and artificial intelligence markets and has delivered the first successful integrated NPU generations for Intel Core 100H and Intel Core 200V series.

We continue to work on innovative Neural Processing Accelerator designs, resulting in exciting opportunities for experienced validation engineers. The Neural Processing Unit NPU Software team is responsible for delivering embedded Software and Firmware for these SoC developments and is looking for a NPU IP Validation Engineer and PyTest developer in Gdansk, Poland.

Intel NPU organization is dedicated to research and development for the future of AI - unprecedented scale for enabling machine intelligence on Edge, desktop, and mobile computers. While achieving minimal power consumption Intel AI accelerators are targeting daily use for millions of devices.

Our team is working to utilize the OpenVINO toolkit and underlying MLIR infrastructure to redefine the limits of Neural Networks performance for the Neural Processing Units generations to come. The NPU Software team is part of a global working environment with colleagues located around the globe. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop front-end and backend of data presentation dashboard application
• Research new tests and automation scripts, create reports and analysis documents
• Develop robust automation code for designed test scenarios with added power measurements data
• Build AI agents supporting automated test execution

The Opportunity:

• Work in innovative advanced AI project with various component teams located in Ireland, Romania, Poland, and US
• Work in small team of engineers conducting research, measurements and validation tasks on new generation hardware
• Involve in working directly with hardware - measure IP power efficiency in designed use case scenarios
• Experience dynamics of new technology development and opportunities to invent patents
• Grow and share experience developing in Python
• Deeply understand underlying designs in x86 architectures - learn how new laptops are built
• Opportunities to build real life use cases with LLM, CNN and other models using OpenVINO
• Opportunities to learn pre-silicon testing, HW emulation and simulation
• Opportunities to learn about product development cycles and basics of silicon manufacturing processes
• Learn validation role workflows and work in Agile project framework

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• Strong understanding of basic computer science and technologies including AI field - 4-5 years of relevant professional working experience
• Proven experience with Python (3+ years) related to backend and front-end development - we use following libraries: pandas, numpy, matplotlib, pytest, dash, flask
• Experience with creating software design diagrams, documentation and tests
• Generic daily developer's experience working with Windows and Linux OS
• Ability to communicate in English fluently both written and spoken
• Strong drive to completion mindset, passionate on solving problems and positive thinker
• Can do attitude and natural curiosity of diving deep to understand an issue
• Willing to work on-site if tasking requires physical access to hardware
