Job Summary

This position involves providing hands-on support for an office building and warehouse environment. Responsibilities include desk work related to vendor communication, email correspondence, and creating purchase orders. The ideal candidate must be flexible and willing to perform a wide range of daily tasks as required.

Facility Maintenance:

Responsible for overseeing facility support operations, managing vendor activities such as selection, budget control, and ongoing performance evaluation. This includes managing badge access, security cameras, pest control services, trash/recycling, first aid and cleaning supplies, coffee and vending machines, as well as other ad hoc services. Interaction with landlords as necessary.

Coordination:

Support site projects by selecting and monitoring vendor performance.

Essential Functions

  • Physical Grounds- Ensure site appearance is maintained including yard, parking lot, windows, etc.

  • Building maintenance and light construction activities in support of Warehouse/Office setting.

  • Support capital projects and budget monitoring.

  • Kitchen, Catering, Event and Housekeeping Support - Provide assistance in administration and physical support as needed by the location.

  • Perform necessary adjustments and minor repairs as required, such as replacing lights, adjusting door handles, painting, etc.

  • Responsibilities include moving furniture, equipment, inventory, and supplies as required.

  • Support Warehouse and Logistic activities including material handling, receiving, and transportation.


Required/Preferred Education and Experience

  • Associates degree or certificate in a trade school preferred.

  • 3+ years of trade experience in various areas such as carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical to effectively support Facility Operations preferred


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient in utilizing a PC and email for tasks such as submitting purchase orders and communicating with vendors.

  • Physical requirements include standing and moving for up to eight hours, as well as the ability to push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs.

  • Capable of climbing ladders and working at heights.

  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is necessary.

  • Experience in facility management or maintenance is essential for this position.

  • 10% travel may be required.
